Public schools provide screening, testing, and programs for students that are diagnosed with a learning disability.  I would contact your child's school to make an appointment with your child's teacher and ESE specialist.  When you do have the meeting go in with a list of reasons and proof (assignments, tests) of why you think there is a problem.  Usually if a parent requests a screening, they will follow through.  Just be prepared that this process can take a while.
