actually both are very important for different stages of development. providing ur child any kind of stimulation, games, talking and so on is very important. both are appopriate.
hide and seek helps in developing things like object permanence, curiosity, learning thru exploring, and so on. stuffed animals are somewhat good for learning with experience, forming animal concepts and the most important part of stuffed animals is that someone talk to them using these toys. naming, telling stories, engaging in conversation and so on. they help in many areas of development, but mostly in language development.
