What the Expert Says:

It is possible for pork to be contaminated with Trichinella but it is very rare these days. However, that is why it is recommended that pork be fully cooked before consuming, unlike beef which can be eaten safely when it is cooked "rare." You can try doing it but you will be wasting a good piece of meat.
