Q:
How do I potty train a 10 year old with special needs?
I have a child with special needs who is not potty trained. His disabilities are only intellectual; there are no physical reasons why he would not be able to use the potty. How can I potty train him? He wears pull ups everyday and seems to like them. He does not like, however the feeling of a wet diaper. The doctors claim he cannot feel when he has the urge to go but he can feel when he is going in his pull up and he can feel when he is wet so I do not believe this is the issue. He seems incredibly resistant when it comes to the potty. Please help!
