What the Expert Says:

Potty training can be frustrating, but positive reinforcement will help your child achieve this very important developmental milestone.  If your child lost interest in potty training all of a sudden, forget it for a week or so, and then start over.  Praise your child for going to the potty and reward him or her with a sticker.

If your child starts to urinate more frequently than normal, complains of pain or burning with urination, or the urine develops an unusual smell, seek an evaluation of your child's regular health care provider.

Best regards.
