Start with very simple things! Like letting him just hold a pencil and draw lines all over, praise is an awesome thing. You could also try hand over hand technique. You can guide his hand over shapes so he feels what the movement is supposed to feel like. Don't push it too hard, allow him to do it a few times and then allow him a break while you admire his work and praise him when it's time to come back to the table.
