kathleenwie... asks:

What should I look for in a program to help my two year old with socialization skills?

What kinds of part-time programs are available for children under 2? What are people's experience with drop-on parent participation programs versus ones that are more like part-time daycare where you leave your child. I feel our son needs to develop more socialization skills prior to Preschool.

Hi Kathleen,
There are quite a few programs available in many cities. You might want to check out your local YWCA or community league to see if there are "moms and tots" style programs. They're basically like play dates. I think it might also depend on what you are looking for. If you are looking for play and socialization or if you are looking for education and socialization - or a combination of both.
Are you interested in programs where you leave your child to socialize or are you more interested in one where you participate as well?
