What the Expert Says:

Curricula in Texas is based on the Texas Essential Skills (TEKS) for each course at each grade level. The Texas Education Agency (TEA)  develops the essential skills through a committee process that includes parents and educators and is approved by the State Board of Education. You can inquire with the local school district about the requirements for each grade level. I have included a link to the TEA website.
