Q:
Is it okay to pull my son out of Kinder and put him in Pre-K?
We started Kindergarten in late Aug. Since then my son is getting in trouble for behavior issues. He is on target with learning, so it isn't the work that stresses him out.
My son and I just had a big move over 1,800 miles away from our home town. He also has only went to preschool 6 months prior to Kindergarten. He is a fall boy with his 5th birthday just passing September 24th.
My thinking is he isn't mature enough for the regulations and protocol of public school yet. Kindergarten is like the new first grade, I just realized!
Would it hurt him emotional or psychologically to pull him out and put him in a Pre-K program until next year?
