Data for a science experiment should be recorded in a data table. There should be a header (what information is in the table), along with column headers (specifically, like "trial number, mass, length, color"). The column headers need to relate to what is being observed or measured. If it is a number (height, mass, etc), it needs to have a unit (inches, pounds, etc). If there are any calculations (volume of object, density, etc), that should also be included. Be sure to do at least three trials of each measurement/experiment so you have good data. The more trials, the better up to about ten. Hope that helps!
