Hi Ashley,

I'm sorry to hear about your little girl's ear infections. This can't be easy. Unfortunately, we really can't give you any medical advice here in the forums, so you may want to revisit your pediatrician or even possibly find a new doctor to assess your little girl.

Has anyone else out here in the forums faced ear infections in their children? Please post your responses and let's see if we can give Ashley some of our own experiences to help!

Reoccuring Ear Infections can cause hearing loss. Take the child to a eye ear and throat specialist. Make sure you tell them what medications the child has taken before.

Take her to your general pediatrician. Who referred you to the ear surgeon who put tubes in her ears? Some children need to go on daily antibiotics to prevent ear infections.
Talk to your family doctor but best is to seek out a general pediatrician who will help you manage this problem. Surgeons tend to do surgery and nothing more. You need someone to see this problem through with you.
