Q:

Are there resources that address the value of attending PreK for success in kindergarten

I am looking for articles, studies etc that address the issue that attending an accredited preK program improves a child's ability to succeed in Kindergarten - not only from an academic perspective but from a social, emotional and developmental perspective.

Hi Lauralee,

Studies show that attending a pre-kindergarten program has benefits for kids academically, but also socially and emotionally. I'm including a link from the Early Education for All campaign that includes some general information on the subject, as well as a second link that's filled with some more specific (and startling) stats.
