Simple,

I am not aware of any laws that restrict you from donating money to a high school. If the amount is less than $500 you should first talk to the principal of the school. If the amount approaches a thousand dollars or more, it is good idea to discuss your contribution at the district office level. I would start with the Superintendent of the District. I am sure you know but do not give cash. A check or another bank transactional instrument is best. If you want to provide financial assistance to students, again, you should discuss with the principal and the district office. Most districts will guide you through their process as to how best to financially assist students.
