          To find the percent increase you must first find the amount increase. You need to subtract the new amount from the original amount.

9430 – 8200 = 1230

An amount of 1230 has increased.  

Then you need to divide the amount increased by the original amount.

1230/8200 = 0.15

Convert decimal into percent:

0.15 * 100% = 15%

15% of sales have increased.
