In preschool and kindergarten, kids not only accumulate academic skills, and lay the groundwork for reading and writing, but they also acquire very important social skills. Manners, sharing, waiting your turn, and communication strategies are all skills kids pick up in the early years of kindergarten (as well as preschool).

In fact, some would argue that the social skills kids pick up are just as important as the early reading and number concepts they learn.

Below, I'm including an article on social graces in kindergarten, and what parents can expect their kids to learn.
