What the Expert Says:

As an educator, I chuckled when I read your question. The issue of school supplies varies so much from teacher to teacher, school to school, district to district. For instance, in Fairfax, VA, my granddaughter's list was over 1 1/2 pages; when she moved to Everett, WA, the supply list was only a half page. To give you a specific example, I've provided the supply list from my school. You might want to try checking your school or district's website. If that doesn't work, try calling the school and even the local school supply stores; stores often try to provide lists for local parents. Good luck in your search!
