What the Expert Says:

Your question is not clearly stated. Do you mean you wish to do a project on the value of sight? the importance of sight for something to to survive, or to get around or some such? Or, on the other hand do you want to find out something more about eyes themselves, like when did they first appear in the history of life? Or how important it is to have two of them instead of one? The most important thing for you to do is to figure out exactly what you want to investigate.

I'd bet your teacher would agree with this. One way to get more clarity is to read up or do some research on the internet about eyes.  Good luck!

If you are referring to the importance of vision, we were just talking about this in class. One student asked if blind people had a sense of color. That may be a good topic to investigate: Color as we "see" it versus the perception of color when a person can't "see" it. Do non-sighted people have a "smell", "temperature", or even "feel" associated with certain colors? We can "see" various shades of blue, but do non-sighted people have different perceptions of blues?
Just a thought on a direction you could go with this. Good Luck!
