Q:

Seventeen year old who failes AS level

Hi,
My son failed his AS levels in Chemistry and Maths.  He desperately wants to re-sit the year, he has 100% attendance and tries very hard.  What is against him is that he is mildly autistic, therefore things do not come easy to him.  Unfortunately, I received a letter from the school a few days ago, telling him that he has not recieved a place due to him failing his exams, and that he was obviously struggling.  I havn't told him yet, as this will destroy him.  I have an appointment with the school on Wednesday, to try to change their minds.
Any help would be most appreciated.
