Sever Insomnia and depression, Not sure what to do...

Just this year i was diagnosed with sever insomnia, I was to receive medication untill i was again diagnossed with A serious Depression that gets worse over time and worse every time it comes back, Im so lost becuase now ontop of that my baby brother has to deal with the same thing, please some one give me some advice. Ive tried everything and now i feel like its time to call it quits and yet i have my baby brother to look after.

I hope you are seeing a mental health professional in your community who is helping you cope with this new medical condition. If not, find one.  Depression and insomnia often go together.  Do not burden yourself with thoughts of caring for your brother. You have not told us your age, but now you need to focus on yourself.

Hi! Feeling sad is the basic part of human nature during tough and difficult times, but a continuous feeling of sadness and hopelessness may result to depression, and the consequences of depression is insomnia. To regain sleep you can try following things -
1. Make a schedule to go to the bed so that your mind and body get used to the time of sleep.
2. Use your bed only for sleep rather than doing your work, watching TV and working on Laptop .
3. Get out of bed when you can not sleep, read something, take a bath, listen your favorite music and when you feel sleepy get back to bed.
4. Don't look at the clock while you are trying for sleep.

For overcoming depression the best thing is talk to your friends and family, you have brother, spend time with him, play some game, try to be happy, do some work of your interest.
