Hi Kashaan,

"Pre-K" is usually offered to four and five year olds who will be entering kindergarten the following year.  Those programs tend to focus on social skills and early academics that will help promote a successful kindergarten experience.

Your son is probably better suited for a pre-school program (most allow kids 2.9 years old and older to enroll).  If the preschool you select offers a pre-k program he could join that in a year or two.
