my son is 7 and is adhd, he has a huge problem stealing things from in the house what should i do?

i have taken him to the police station and had him placed in a cell so he would understand, i have grounded him, talked and i just dont understand why he continues to take things.

There is no relationship between stealing and ADHD except the short attention span for learning.  I would suggest a discussion with your pediatrician regarding this behavior.  It seems he might benefit from counseling. If you don't have a medical home, call your local community health center for a recommendation.  However, keep confronting each episode until you get help.
