His mind goes faster than his hand. He writes very quickly. He can get bored easily. Daydreams. doodles..The school. He has asthma since 18 months old. The doctor said when he is on his meds it can cause focus problems. But he still has focus problems when not on the meds. Some organization problems.
Strict teachers; Item was due wednesday he had an assignment pass. I emailed the teacher before school day ended on Friday. She would not accept it and gave him a zero.

What the Expert Says:

Dear Sonofmine2:

Sounds like you need to re-visit your pediatrician to go over these problems.  Asthma medicines in this day and age don't generally cause focus problems; however, Attention Deficit Disorder does.  If your son's organizational or executive skills are wanting, discuss that with your pediatrician.  then you can ask for a child study team evaluation at school with the cooperation of his teacher, special services staff, and principal.

Best wishes.
