Q:

What should I do to help my son recover from pink eye?

My son is almost 3 months old and this morning when i woke him up his eye was crusted shut and red and really swollen... ive been putting hot cloths on his eye and washing it.. but it doesnt seem to go down very much! Does anyone know how long it should take to look better. and how do i prevent it from speading to the other eye? Also could this mean hes getting sick or an ear infection?

It's time to call your pediatrician.  You are correct that with infants pink eye and ear infections often happen together.  Warm compresses and wiping away from the nose will help prevent the spread; however, swollen eyes with reddness mean infection and may require treatment.

Call your son's doctor.
