Q:

What can my son do for his science fair?

My child goes to a rural school (33 children). We are having our first science fair. It is for all the grades (k-8).
My child is in 6th grade. Are there any good tips or suggestions?

Hi Casey!
In one of my educational research folders I came across this website:http://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/science-projects.shtml?gclid=CIWDzP-p_pICFQkvgwod-gKtFQ
This site will give you everything you need to come up with an idea that suits your Childs sixth grade science fair objectives. Have fun!

Hi Casey,

My kids are too young for the science fair yet but our website just published a "Science Fair Survivial Guide" article that you'll hopefully find helpful.

A science fair project for the first time should really be off the ground. How about a balloon hovercraft science project? These are really fun, this is a science project that has very simple equipment, you can use what is around the house and this could be fun just finding what you need. Good luck.
