My son has had problems since birth, asthma chronic ear infections, tubes x 2, perforated eardrums, strabismus with surgery twice and he has always been hard to understand when he is speaking.  Early speech therapy evaluation when he was very young put him at a normal speech level.  Now at age 24 he is still having eye, ear and speech problems despite everything.  Unless he speaks slowly and concentrates we cannot understand what he's saying.  None of his doctors have caught on to this. Why?
