What the Expert Says:

Hello and thank you for writing to JustAsk,

Please contact your local school district who currently teaches your son and request in writing a formal meeting to determine if your child is performing the best he can based on his cognitive level or if there needs to be adjustments to his program.  They may be able to recommend some ancillary programs to help assist his skill attainment.  Without details, we are unable to give you recommendations to specific programs.  Please share with local professionals who are more likely to be in the position to give you help that would match your situation.

We wish you and your son much luck.

Grandme, it would be helplful to know the age and subject area in which you have a concern. In the area of Mathematics for K-8, the Stanford University EPGY has strong data in accelerating student achievement.
