Q:
Does anyone know the spelling bee rules?
Is it customary to pass a missed word to the next child?
Reason for asking-in a spelling bee, the child missed a word and was eliminated from competition, the next child was given another (easier) word for the win.
I thought that a missed word had to be spelled correctly + another word for the win and if both children misspelled the word, then they both remained in competition and another word would be presented.
Any help with spelling bee rules would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
