What the Expert Says:

Texas has one of the most comprehensive state testing program of any state in the country.  In Texas the state test is called the TAAS test and is given in most grades 3-8 and in high school.

If you need more information call your local school and ask for a fact sheet or other information you can read on the testing program.

     Best wishes!

The primary test is called the TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills) which is given to students in Grades 3-11. They also have alternative assessments as well - Education.com is a great resource for Texas State standards and testing: http://www.education.com/reference/article/Ref_Texas_Education/
