Q:

Standards met for a unit of study?

I have to do a unit of study lesson plan for a child care class at my college. At the end of each content area (i.e. math, science, etc) I have to put the standards met for that activity. What are the standards that I have to meet and where can I find them? We are going based on NAEYC but if it is on the website I'm having a hard time finding it.

What the Expert Says:

Hi -
I've pasted below a site that has links to the academic standards of all 50 states. The National Assn for the Education of Young Children has published voluntary guidelines to help states create academic standards, but these don't have the force of law like the state standards do. You can learn more about these at http://www.naeyc.org/positionstatements

Good luck!
