Hi,

Education.com offers a variety of information on this topic here: http://www.education.com/topic/homeschooling-learning-ideas/

You might also look into virtual school information for your state within SchoolFinder (searchable from the SchoolFinder homepage; see "Online public and private schools" module in middle of page):

Thanks for asking!

Hello,
We are a homeschooling family. The first advice I would give you is to understand your state laws regarding homeschooling. HSLDA (Homeschool Legal Defense of America) has already done all the homework in that area for you. Simply visit their site below and look your state up. After all of the legal issues have been cleared, I would go on next to a solid curriculum choice for your child's needs and also remember you can tailor his education to fit both of your needs at home. Curriculums range from Christian conservative to creative people like Montessori and Waldorf in regards to philosophy and styles. So you may want to jot down some reasons you want to use a certain curriculum. Certainly add the pros and cons to all of them and then do the choice making thing. Sometimes you will discover that one curriculum is not what you expected or simply does not fit your families needs. This is okay! The main thing is not to get frustrated. Homeschooling is a journey! You are learning along the way. Just remember that you have the power to educate your child! Do not let anyone tell you otherwise. Good Luck and visit the link below as it has tons of information!
