My 6 yr old grand-daughter had to lose last yr from kindergarten and she was just starting. She only did a couple months. She has lost a lot of what she learned. She loses interest if she cant get it after a few tries. She is just starting reading and math. How can i get her to want to stick with it and not give up? Where do i start with teaching her to read and math? She starts school in a few weeks, and i want her to at least have the basics, (recognizing small words and some math). I don't want her to feel ashamed because she cant read yet. She's my heart.
