How do i get started in homeschooling my special needs child? Where do i find info on what i need to start as well?

As for where to officially get started, it would seem that local school district education offices need to be notified. So, this may be your first step.

I also have a special needs child and I found the K12 online school to work wonders for us. It is a form of homeschooling but with added benefits, lessons are already done up and there are teachers that you can contact for any problem be it academic or emotional. I am currently in my second year and they have even developed an IEP for her along with twice a week face to face both on line and in the home. Best thing that could have happened because we can do the school work when it best fits our schedule and hers.
