Q:
a stundent is bullying someone through rumors puts on fb I'd like to reach over and choke you.  Girl knows its directed to her does this hold as proof
In this situation a girl has taken a table of friends and turned them against another girl through making up false rumors.  The victim stays at the lunch table proud and has a few girls that stand by her side.  At times there are messages posted that I'd like to reach over and choke you etc.  It isn't directed to the victim however she believes it is.  Is there any grounds without the bullier specifing names?

What the Expert Says:

If your bully isn't specifying who she's bullying, it makes it pretty hard for the victim, doesn't it?  One thing you could do is ask the bully who she's referring to, preferrably through Facebook, a text, or some other form of writing.  If your intention is to bring this to the school's administration, then make sure you have as much evidence as possible.  Do a screenshot of the threat on Facebook and save it, because she can delete it any time.

Whether or not you collect sufficient evidence, it would still be a good idea to talk to the bully if possible.  Ask the bully who it is who's making her want to strange them, and then try to negotiate a truce.  If you don't think she's rational enough to do this, it's definitely time to get some adults involved.  Bring the Facebook comment and any other pieces of evidence to your school counselor.  Ask her if she can help you smooth this out.

Good luck!
