What the Expert Says:

Hello and thank you for writing to JustAsk,

Support for children with autism vary from region to region and depend on the child and their psycho-educational profile.  For example, if a child is very high functioning Aspergers then they may receive very little or no support, perhaps.  Versus a child who is low functioning which may receive maybe one on one assistance, in some circumstances.

For specifics to your state and school, please check with the special education office in your district.  They should be able to provide you some information regarding  your questions.

Good luck!
