Swine flu after effects - is it possible to not have the swine flu go away?
MY SON IS 4 YEARS OLD AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH INFLUENZA "A'. I GAVE HIM THE TAMINFLU AND HE DID GET BETTER. EVER SINCE THEN, HE HAS BEEN COMPLANING OF TIREDNESS. HE IS ALWAYS TIRED, HAS BAGS UNDER HIS EYES AND IS ALWAYS LAYING DOWN. HIS TEACHER EVEN TOLD ME SHE NOTICED HE WAS EXTRA TIRED AND VERY "DOWN" WHICH IS UNLIKE HIM. DOES THE SWINE FLU GIVE THIS REACTION AFTER IT IS GONE? IS IT POSSIBLE TO NOT HAVE THE SWINE FLU GO AWAY?

Hello,
It can take weeks for our bodies to fully recover from a bought with the flu. If your 4 year old is like mine, I'm sure his being tired is really noticeable since they're usually so high energy at that age!
That said, if you have any concerns that he's not recovering well, the best thing is to call your pediatrician. She may confirm that your son's behavior is normal based on his bought with the flu or she may want to see him to make sure he hasn't moved on to another bug that needs separate treatment. Really any advice you get here shouldn't be a substitute for checking in with your doctor.
