Thank you for asking this question.  An excellent answer has been provided by a fellow poster.  However, I want to advise parents to please alert your college or older children who live away from home about the symptoms, as well.  This group of young adults are at greater risk because they tend to dismiss symptoms as being "too tired", etc.  Also, they are less likely to have a thermometer or know of a local health clinic, physician, etc.

Thanks for asking this very important and timely question!
