What the Expert Says:

Hello and thank you for writing to JustAsk!

The role of the teacher in respect to specific learning disabilities varies, depending on if the child has been officially identified and what were the team recommendations.  The role can be from intensive services in a small group all the way to simply a status of monitoring the child's progress.

For more specifics with your own child (if this is the case), please connect with your local school district.

Good luck!
