What the Expert Says:

Teaching vowels to young children.  There are several programs out there, but the one that I like the most is called Secret Stories.  Katie Garner, the creator of this amazing program, is an educator, brain researcher and musician.  She has combined all her talents to develop phonics stories that students will remember and then be able to apply when reading.  For example, the letters t and h don't like each other very much.  So when they stand next to each other in a word, they stick out their tongues and say /th/.  Katie as incorporated hand gestures and music with her stories which allows the brain to remember and apply when reading.

I've seen many programs being a reading trainer for educators and this is by far one of the most affective one out there.
