What the Expert Says:

no. It is a series of developmental evaluations made by educators, physicians skilled in child development or psychiatrists.  There are many levels of the condition which is on the autistic spectrum.  Start with a pediatrician or a mental health expert for advice.

If you are an involved parent, as I am, go online and check out the DSM IV. It gives the criteria for determining if a child has Aspergers. A Pediatric Neurologist, Psychiatrist, or Developmental Peditrician can diagnois the disorder.  Some experts disagee, they say that Aspergers is not in the Persuasive Developmental Disorder Spectrium and is a separate disorder. But have no fear, I have heard a rumor that Bill Gates has Aspergers. This message is sent and meant only to inform you and inspire hope. Best Wishes.
