I just went to my middle school open house last night. I don't have five, but here are the ones that I heard explicitly stated by the six teachers that I met and spoke with.
1) Your child does the homework and, related, that you as a parent stay in touch with what it is and that they are doing it.
2) Your child gets a good night's sleep.
3) Your child seeks help from the teacher or a tutor when they get stuck or are falling behind.
4) Your child is not overwhelmed by homework and has time to just be a kid.
This last one wasn't expected, though I have heard it before. More than half of the teachers said that, however.
