Yes. 75% of all north Americans carry the virus in one of our major nerves which may show up as shingles. Adults over 50 should check with their doctors about the Zostrix or shingles vaccine which, in essence, is the chicken pox or Varicella vaccine.  Many of us have out lived our "life long" immunity.
