What the Expert Says:

This is a science question but I am not sure what you are trying to find out. Do you mean, "what are the ways in which a solute can be dissolved in a solvent?" If so, I would say that a solute can be dissolved by:
(1) stirring the solute after placing it in the solvent
(2) shaking the mixture to dissolve the solute
(3) heating the mixture (carefully, depending upon the solvent) - for example when dissolving sugar in water to make hummingbird food.

Hope this helps!
