Snicket asks:

Is it worth it to take a 5-year-old away from his friends to enroll in a better school?

My son has been in the same preschool for three years and he loves it, especially his close group of friends. Next year, this school hopes to open an kindergarten classroom, and my son could continue there. However, we had planned to enroll him in a wonderful private school that offers a established program with lots of specials (art, p.e., etc) which he would love. But it would mean leaving behind the small, close atmosphere where he knows all the kids and the teachers, with a transition to new friends and a bigger environment. Is it worth it?
