Q:
writing continuum
I am developing a writing continuum for my second grade class. I would like to know if there is an advantage in teaching children narrative writing sequentially then introducing them to expository writing? Or alternating narrative writing for the first three months, expository writing one month, back to narrative writing for another month then going back to expository writing? What would be the best practice to encourage the most effective developmental writing process?
