Age (Months): 7

Motor: Transfers object from hand to hand; bangs objects together. Cuts first tooth; has better chewing and jaw control; can eat some strained solids. Pushes up on hands and knees; rocks.

Cognition: Visually searches briefly for toy that disappears. Imitates a physical act if in repertoire. Remembers that jack pops up at the end of jack-in-the-box song.

Socialization: Resists. Teases (beginning of humor); laughs at funny expressions. Raises arms to be picked up.

Communication: Plays vocally. Produces several sounds in one breath. Listens to vocalization of others. Recognizes different tones and inflections.
