Tip #3: Brainstorm Lunch Ideas
Make sure your child is getting the nutrition he needs! Have a lunch brainstorm with him so he gets a say in what goes in his lunchbox.
Ask him to create cards with 10-20 food items that he's willing to eat. See if you can help him combine his favorite tastes with some healthy alternatives. Mix and match from the items he chooses, or clear a space on shelves and in the fridge so he can pack things himself. We recommend packing the first week's worth of lunches ahead of time, or at least write them down so you’ll be prepared. In the chaos of back to school week, it's good to have at least one thing in the bag!
