3. Get Creative With the Curriculum

Each student learns in a unique way, so play up to the student's strength by engaging the different senses. For example, if you're teaching a unit on the Boston Tea Party, have your students create a play. Supplement or replace a dense textbook with audio recordings, shorter books and study notes.
