Rational and Irrational Numbers
The ancient mathematician, Pythagoras, taught that all numbers could be represented as fractions, however one of his students proved him wrong, citing a number of ratios and root problems that could not. In this worksheet, identify which numbers can be represented in fraction form by writing it in fraction notation, then note whether each example is rational or irrational.
