What You Need:
- Sheet of paper
- Tempera paints
- Black construction paper
- Glue
- Scissors
What You Do:
- Have your child create the colorful background of the dinosaur's habitat by filling it with large green plants and trees. This is a great time to discuss how different the Earth looked millions of years ago.
- Set the background aside to dry.
- Have your child draw a dinosaur on black construction paper. For a stegosaurus, start with a semi-circle shape. Add spines to the top, a long neck, head, tail, and legs.
- Help your child cut out the dinosaur from the black construction paper and glue it to the background. Is this dinosaur a plant-eater or meat-eater?
