Living with Integrity

What You Need:

What You Do:

  1. Ask your child about a time they were honest with someone. How did it feel? How did it impact others?
  2. Ask them what they think the word "integrity" means.
  3. Review the definition of integrity: "Doing the right thing, even when no one is watching and when no one else knows."
  4. Ask your child to consider a time when someone in their life, in a book, or in a movie embodied trustworthiness, honesty, and integrity. As your child shares their example, ask the following questions: How do you think this person felt when making healthy choices? How did their actions impact others? How does integrity impact communities?
  5. Use The Power of Living with Integrity worksheet as a guide for your conversation with your child.
  6. Have your child complete the worksheet, and work with them as they create their book.
  7. Ask your child to read their story to your family.
